My First Real Kiss
The First Time I really kissed someone I was holding flip flops on the palms of my hands in a golden Willy-Wonka-esque elevator on Christmas Day. We had spent all night talking, joking around, being fifteen years old together. Finally it was time to retire to our rooms on the cruise ship and we rode the elevator down to our rooms together. We were suddenly close and because I was nervous I held my hands up with the flip flops on them. I think this made us both laugh. Then he kissed me. I remember how warm his tongue was and kind of forgot about the rest of my body. I no longer knew what to do with my hands… but only could move my lips. Even though I knew I’d probably never see him again it was magical.
